The goal at MEA is to provide quality software solutions and help financial institutions and business owners increase revenue and gain a competitive edge. To that end, MEA now introduces Merchant Collect to provide electronic check collection to the customers of financial institutions and direct to merchant businesses.

MEA Financial was founded by Mike Wallace and Ed Rhea in April of 2002. These two individuals retired after a combined 35 years of service at a leading provider of software solutions to the finance industry. Mike and Ed both started their careers as software installation technicians for financial institutions. Mike ultimately led the firm through record growth as President/COO for 8 years. During this time frame Ed served for 6 years as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. This experience provided valuable insight to the software needs of the finance industry as well as how to lead a company focused on quality software solutions and customer satisfaction.
The first product that MEA introduced was a courtesy pay program known as Overdraft Advance. This solution has been well received by the industry with over 150 financial institutions utilizing Overdraft Advance for all their courtesy pay needs. MEA recently introduced Complete Collect as a PC based loan collection solution. While still in the early stages, this product has been installed in 4 beta sites and looks to have a bright future.
MEA has assembled a team of professionals with over 100 years of experience in delivering software solutions and products. While the majority of this experience is in the finance industry, MEA has individuals from other industries that add valuable insight and knowledge. With this combined experience and track record, MEA is committed to the continued excellence in product offerings and customer service.
